sweetieluve asked:
i really have no clue on how to play tennis, the right way. now, i want to get tennis lessons, but my family can’t afford it. so, is there any website, or anything that will teach me how to play tennis ? like, good youtube videos, or websites…
the thing is, in 4 more months, i will try out for my high school tennis team, and i want to get in !
what should i do ?! please help!

try tennisplayers.net
Just sign up then they have a lot of good videos and such
Lessons are the best way to learn and to tell the truth, tennis is an expensive sport. (Clothes, shoes, racquet etc.) I say watch some videos and try do do the same basic things they do. Play as much as you can and once you make the team, you won’t have to pay for lessons.
Good luck I hope you make it!

I was as well as a beginner at tennis and I was mediocre. I haven’t got any lessons as well, so my friend recommended me to use this website, fuzzyyellowballs.com. It helped me a lot and I’m in varsity tennis team for my sophomore year. I learned to do topspin forehand. In tennis practices in my high school, the coach doesn’t even teach you. Hoped you get better. Good Luck!
You could hit with friends who play tennis. Or hit against a wall. or you could get a part time job or do odd jobs for neighbors and save up for lessons. If you join a tennis squad, they are usually pretty cheap. I remember when i lived in USA i got tennis lessons, $25 for 8 weeks. I think it was funded by the council.
fuzzyyellowballs.com is a great website!!
its got everything, and there are goign to be mroe videos to come after the team come back from indian wels
you ahve to sign up to the newsletters to be able to see the videos, but its worth it as they also let you know when new videos are up
All the videos are very thorough with clear step by step instructions. they also give examples in each step using pro players as models (eg, gael monfils, marat safin, andy roddick)
you can also send in some suggestions of your own by email or on facebook
