Looking for Tennis lessons for son who will be 12 yrs old?

My son has had a couple season of beginning tennis lessons. I am looking for something a little more than just lessons, Maybe a lesson and playing games. A tennis league? Am looking for something not too far from Madison Heights area.

    Although I don’t live in that area, try signing him up for group lessons so he can play against other kids. I would also recommend playing in some small tournaments. They really help a lot!! Just make sure you research the place he will be playing at and ask people in your area how they like it. Best of luck to you!

    Start by researching the United States Tennis Association’s website. From there you can click on “find your section” and then look in the left hand column for “community tennis”. From there the drop down menu will have choices such as team tennis, njtl, school tennis etc. You may also check with the local public courts or clubs to inquire about any jr. grand prix tournaments that may be coming up. The jr. grand prix’s are for beginning to intermediate level players who are not ranked and serve as a stepping block to gain tournament experience while at the same time allowing for the opportunity at some success early on. The United States Professional Tennis Association’s website allows you to find a local teaching pro who should be knowledgeable about the various jr. programs in your area. Good luck.
