Should a guy friend charge me for tennis lessons?

My15 y.o step daughter has a guy she has a crush on and he’s charging her for tennis lessons. However, after tennis lessons today, he went to the pool swimming with her. We are telling her that its wrong to pay a boy you have a crush on because then he is only interested in you for the money. She is planning on telling him about it tomorrow but isnt sure. Should she confront him and tell him that friends dont charge friends or is what he’s doing fine?

    He has a right to charge her if it’s his job. Jobs are meant to be separate from personal lives, so if they have fun outside of his teachings, it’s fine.

    if he is an instructor or is much better than your daughter and is providing quality instruction then yeah he should charge her. after the lesson, its up to them what they do with their free time.
