RS asked:
Is it true that when u join the USTA u have to pay a fee to join a junior tournaments, how much is it? How long do the tournaments last for and do u have the pay for the coaches involved? what other fees will they ask u foe aside from the tournaments? Would u suggest joining the usta rather than taking tennis lessons? because i’m always having trouble finding someone to pratice that is good as me but won’t. cause people say its about 30 for a tournaments a and thats what u pay for the season or every single week?

I am a USTA member, and yes you do have to pay to join, and additional to play in every tournament. It’s not a lot, ’bout 20 bucks a year, and 30-45 per tourny. This is a good option for an advanced player, but a novice certainly should take lessons. Some tournys are a weekend, while some may last for a week. If you consider yourself good for your age, you should join.
Yes, you do have to pay to be an acutal member in the USTA, as well as paying around $30-$40 per tournament. If aren’t willing to put up the cash for the tournaments (Considering that there is no garuntee that you’ll make it past the first round) you should check it out your local clubs. Many times they will have tournaments availible for sign ups.
yes its about 30 or 40 dollors to join i know that because i am a USTA (united states tennis assosation) player!i love tennis do you?
Regular tournaments are about 30 to 45 dollar, but tournaments like those national type are like 100 dollars to join
