What to wear to private tennis lessons?

tennis lessons
Cow Udders asked:

What should I wear to lessons/or what do you guys wear?
Like should I put on my proper tennis dress/skirt (that I wear in matches) or just trackies and work out gear?

Also, what do you think is more beneficial to an up and coming player,
Private Lessons or A Full-Time Academy program?

I would practice in the gear that you will play in. Get comfortable in those clothes so they don’t cause any discomfort when it really matters.

IDK what to wear since I’m a guy, but I think I can help you out on the 2nd question. It really depends how far you already are in the tennis career. If you’re just starting out, definitely privates. Why? Bad habits can form easily early on, so you need a good foundation. Those can be taught in privates. The full-time academy programs are more for players with good foundations that are just looking for experience. They are trying to get better against world-class players through competition. They usually don’t learn anything new and don’t make huge changes @ these full-time academies unless there is something rly wrong with their game.

I would wear work out gear for practice, but if you aren’t comfortable playing in your skirt/dress then practice in that a few times here and there.

Never have had lessons, but I’d wear some comfy athletic wear, probably a white athletic t-shirt like the techgear or whatever and white shorts.

For you, I’d say a light white tennis skirt and tanktop or something. It probably doesn’t matter too much, as long as you can play naturally.

Hey, I take private lessons too and I wear work out gear, usually a tank top or tennis related t-shirt and cotton shorts + spandex. You’re probably comfortable in your dress or skirt since you play matches, so that isn’t really necessary for practice.

Private lessons are helpful because they give you attention, 1 on 1 instruction and a solid relationship with your instructor, but most big players come from Academy’s that are prestigious.

    Good luck :]

just training clothes, I would start with Private Lessons first and then incorporate an academy Program.
