But with what you have told us, I think there are still chances, even better since you mentioned that you are 14, so you have an extra year to build on. You could get a coach and work on your tennis, enter tournaments and see what happens. By what you tell us, it seems that you have a natural work ethic towards your tennis, and that is important. Love for the game is another one as well, besides motivation and talent. The reason why I said that it is possible, is because there have been a few professional players who started tennis quite late in tennis terms, but they still got to where they did and had found success. You also get to play in the great outdoors, and the tennis team is usually larger than the volleyball team, so you would meet more people, too. I played both. im also 5'5 and completely LOVED both. my freshman and shophonre year in h.s. i played varsity tennis. it was awesome because of the rush and fast pace of the game... you get an awesome workout out of it too. then my junior and senior year i moved to another school and played volleyball for them. and that too was great because you can do all kinds of gnarly knee slides and aggresive jumps and stuff.... you gotta be on your toes for if the ball comes.... hmmm..... try out both!! you might like it oooooooo, tough one.
