The last time I played tennis, I got destroyed 8-1. I can’t get lessons and I have a partner but they aren’t that good. What kind of things can I do to get better? I want to win really badly because everyone was laughing at me when I lost.
with a hot coach! guys: what would you want a girl to wear if u were teaching her how to play tennis? skirts….shorts? help!
would it be weird for me to wear a tennis skirt? cause i wanna wear a black tennis skirt..but im only taking lessons.
Because, i’m not really sure, cause I saw some students and teachers to where i’m going (tennis dome) only wear those pants that are like plastic-ish and black. So is it ok for me to wear sweat pants? (I’m going for a lesson)

I ordered it last night, and I payed for the overnight shipping. It was called UPS standard overnight shipping. I ordered a new tennis racket and i have a lesson 12-4 today. It’s okay if it doesn’t come before 12 I guess…i’ll use my old one. What time should I expect it?
I am planning to play tennis. I am going to take lessons and play for the school should i practice running before i start?
I am a 13 year old boy, and just started getting into tennis. I really love it and am starting to get pretty good. I’ve never had lessons but will start them soon. It seems that I have natural talent though because I can beat more experienced and older players. Do you think if I started a rigorous training regimen now that I have a chance to ‘go pro’? And do you have any tips for my journey ( that would help me to turn pro)? Please answer and thanks in advance!!
I just love ballet and I will start in a week ballet lesson . (When I was younger I did aerobics , tennis , swimming and ski ) Now I wonder how soon can I start on pointe ? I’m very motivated and I do different exercises 2 hours per day ( stretching . . . ) and I almost learned the first and the second possition of ballet .
I am doing my student teaching this spring and I am trying to find a school where I can coach tennis and do my student teaching. I have not been able to find a job coaching though. I just want to be an assistant or j.v coach. In california where I live the job openings are on a website named edjoin.org. I have applied for some but nobody is contacting me or giving me interviews. When I cal or email to check the status of my application they never contact me back. I only had one interview at a school for a head j.v job but I did not get it. The coach told me he wanted somebody with more high school coaching experience.
Here is my playing background
I played #1 for my high school and was an all conference athlete. I then played 2 years at a community college where I was team captain, team MVP and an all conference athlete both years. I then transferred to an NAIA school that was top 20 in the country both years I played and I was an all conference athlete both years.
Here is my coaching background
For two years I was an assistant girls varsity coach for a high school in southern california where the team made it to the finals of CIF one year. I was an assistant for for a girls team in Kansas for two years as well. I was a graduate assistant coach for two years for a men’s/women’s team at a university while I completed my masters degree. I also have worked several Nike tennis camps and camps that universities hold during the summers and winters. I ran the city tennis classes for a city for a year and a half. I also work part time as a tennis instructor at a prive club and I am currently the director for a non-profit tennis organization that gives lesson to underprivileged youth.
My question is what do I need to do to make myself attractable to a high school coach. I have applied for about 10 jv/assistant jobs but I have only got one interview and the coach told me I did not have enough experience. I got certified by CIF the other day as a coach so I hope that will help. I also just got my CPR and First Aid certification. Does anybody have advice for me. For every application I do I turn in a resume, cover letter, and 3 letters of recommendation. I have a coaching portfolio but I do not know if that is appropriate when applying for an assistant or j.v. job. I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!
I bruised my rib last night by hitting it against a table (long story) and it hurts quite a bit. It’s tender to touch and hurts when I twist my body etc.
I have a tennis lesson tonight that I have been looking forward to.
Would it be ok to play tennis tonight with the bruised rib or should I give it a miss?
